1. Booking and Reservations
- Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer.
- Reservation Details: Ensure that all information provided during booking is accurate and complete.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery will not incur any fees. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.
2. Payment Terms
- Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash.
- Payment Schedule: Payment is due upon delivery of the skip unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional charges and interest as per our policies.
3. Use of Skip
- Permitted Use: Our skips are intended for the disposal of general household and commercial waste. Hazardous materials, including chemicals, asbestos, and medical waste, are strictly prohibited.
- Weight Limits: Each skip has a maximum weight limit. Exceeding this limit may result in additional charges or the need for a larger skip.
- Placement: The customer is responsible for ensuring the skip is placed on a legal and accessible location, providing necessary permissions if required.
4. Delivery and Collection
- Access: The customer must ensure that there is adequate access for delivery and collection of the skip, including availability of a suitable truck.
- Time of Delivery: While we strive to adhere to the agreed delivery schedule, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. We will notify the customer as soon as possible in such events.
- Collection: Skips must be available for collection at the agreed-upon time. Should the skip not be available, collection may be delayed or additional fees may apply.
5. Liability and Insurance
- Customer Liability: The customer is responsible for any damage to property or injury to persons caused by the placement and use of the skip.
- Insurance: It is the customer's responsibility to have appropriate insurance coverage for the use of the skip.
- Damage to Skip: Any damage to the skip during the hire period must be reported immediately. The customer may be liable for repair costs.
6. Maintenance and Repairs
- Skip Condition: Skips are maintained to a high standard. If any part of the skip is defective or damaged upon delivery, the customer must report it immediately.
- Unauthorized Repairs: Customers are prohibited from making any unauthorized repairs or modifications to the skip.
7. Duration of Hire
- Rental Period: The hire period starts on the day of delivery and ends on the day of collection.
- Extensions: If you require the skip for a longer period, you must notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled collection. Extensions are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Overdue Returns: Late returns may result in extra fees. Continuous non-compliance may lead to termination of the hire agreement.
8. Prohibited Items
- Hazardous Waste: As mentioned, hazardous materials are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, chemicals, asbestos, batteries, and medical waste.
- Illegal Items: The disposal of any illegal items is strictly forbidden and may result in legal action.
- Recyclables and Valuable Items: Items such as electronics, metals, and other recyclables should be disposed of through appropriate channels.
9. Environmental Responsibility
- Waste Disposal: We are committed to environmentally responsible waste disposal. All waste collected will be processed in accordance with relevant environmental laws and regulations.
- Recycling: We prioritize the recycling of materials wherever possible to minimize environmental impact.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skip Hire Blackfriars operates. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that area.
11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Skip Hire Blackfriars reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. It is the customer's responsibility to review these terms periodically to ensure compliance.

18. Assignment
